Andria Mattlin
I am a 2008 graduate of the University of St. Thomas with a degree in Public Relations. I have had experience in the fields of Public Relations and Marketing through work with logistical matters concerning “Alternative Spring Break” projects rebuilding after the hurricanes of 2005 with MTV, communication projects at United Hospital, media research studies at the University of St. Thomas and creating strategic public relations projects for St. Paul based non-profits. I have been involved in cheerleading since 1999. I cheered for both the sport and competition squads at White Bear Lake High School, as well as competing with various Planet Spirit teams. I have had college cheering experience at Iowa State University and the University of St. Thomas. The 2008-2009 season will be my third year as the head coach at Centennial High School. I would love to take on the role of Public Relations Director for the MCCA. I feel that my experience matched with my passion to see the level of cheerleading talent grow within the state would be a great addition to the organization.
Honor Team Director
Sharon Tice
She has coached PHS/PEM for 10 years. She coaches Football – wrestling – Girls Basketball – Boys Basketball- Competition Cheer Team. Sharon cheered in High School for football and wrestling. She is judge certified in both dance and cheer. She works for the Mayo Clinic as a lead tech in the Blood Bank. She spends many of her days out at high schools drawing blood on high school students. I have enjoyed watching our spirit programs grow from 4 to 5 members on a squad to 10-12 girls per team. I love the competitive cheer – It is exciting to see the excitement in the girls faces when they do well! Sharon is married to Bill, he is a big part of our program – he his a paramedic and he puts his training to use. He works with the girls on conditioning and strengthening to prevent few injuries. I have two children. Brandon (24) and Lyndsay (25). Lyndsay and her husband (Josh) coach the Plainview Elgin Millville JV Team. They are expecting their first child. I am proud to say that I am going to be a Grandma. Sharon and her husband volunteered this past season and worked at MCCA State event.

After high school, I assistant coached Prior Lake's Varsity team for one season. Then going on to Head Coach Maple Grove High School's Cheer program in 2005, and starting the Prior Lake Junior Cheerleader Program. Currently I work for Minnesota Sports Medicine in Eden Prairie, and coach the Cheer teams from Concordia Academy who placed 4th in the State Cheer-Off their first year EVER competing. This year I will be reaching Silver Level Certification by the NFHS, and have been a Certified Cheer Coach since August of 2005.
