MCCA Membership

Membership fees (per coach):
Early bird (7/1/23 - 8/31/23): $35

REGULAR (starting 9/1/2023): $55 

LATE (starting 12/17/23): $85

LAST MINUTE (starting 1/4/24): $115

Registration will CLOSE on Saturday, January 20. If we need to reopen registrations after this date, the membership fee is $165. Registrations will not be accepted after 5:00 pm on Thursday, January 25.

The Registration "MCCA Membership" is not currently available.


Membership is open to all Minnesota sideline and competition cheer coaches!

All Early Bird membership payments must be postmarked by August 31, 2023 to receive Early Bird pricing

THE GREAT MINNESOTA SIDELINE CHEER OFF  - This event is designed to promote and celebrate sideline cheerleading. Teams perform in 3 different rounds and are evaluated on their crowd leading abilities. We offer non-competitive and competitive divisions. Mascots perform a short skit and are evaluated on their crowd appeal and character development.

STATE CHEERLEADING COMPETITION - The state competition is Minnesota's end of year event for traditional and game day competitive teams. Members attending with their registered teams will have access to all team only areas at State (team housing area, warm-ups, music and competition floor). Coaches are required to take one of the 2 courses to attend the MN State Competition. USA Cheer Safety and Risk Management or Cheer & Dance Safety Certification through NFHS. 

AWARDS & RECOGNITIONS - MCCA hosts an annual awards banquet that aims to recognize cheerleaders, teams, and coaches for their skills, academic achievements, and involvement in their communities. Recognitions include: Coach of the Year, Leadership Award, Regional Academic Honors, All State Teams, Honors Team, and Scholarships.

MCCA BOARD OF DIRECTORS - Members have the right to vote during elections and serve on the board of directors.

REGIONAL REPS - Access to MCCA's regional reps who can provide additional support for you and your team.

COMPETITION ADVERTISEMENT - The ability to advertise your competition on the MCCA website.


MCCA MEMBER CODE OF ETHICS & CONDUCT

This is a requirement for MCCA Membership and Participation in MCCA events

  • I (We), will abide by the coaches Code of Ethics & Conduct and the coaches Code of Ethics as it appears in the current National Federation Spirit Rules Book.

  • I (We), will be knowledgeable and adhere to the rules pertaining to each event that my team participates in as set forth by MCCA.

  • I (We), will ensure that each participant meets all eligibility requirements set forth by MCCA and that each participant on my team’s roster is verified by my school’s athletic director.

  • I (We), will act in a professional and respectful manner towards MCCA and its officials which will reflect positively on my team, my school, other spirit groups, and cheerleading in general.

  • I (We), will ensure that all participants in my cheerleading program will follow all standards listed in the MCCA Coaches Code of Ethics & Conduct. 

  • Failure to comply with financial obligations may result in coach(es), individual(s) and or team suspension from MCCA events as decided by the MCCA Board of Directors. 


The membership year runs from July 1st to June 30th regardless of date of initial application.

All members must renew each year.

Opens May 15th to allow invoices to be processed through your school if needed.
